WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY Q&A

You’ve got questions? I’ve got answers.

There is no such thing as a silly question, but there are some commonly asked ones…

Anything else? Just ask.

Where are you based?
I’m a UK & Destination wedding photographer working out of Liverpool England and living in Ormskirk, Lancashire. This provides me with great transport and airport links to be able to travel and photograph weddings at destinations throughout the UK and abroad.
Can we meet to chat about my wedding?
Yes of course, call me on 07766500824 to arrange a meeting. I believe the relationship you have with your photographer is the most important of all your vendors and I not only want to meet your expectations but exceed them. For out of town and destination weddings we can connect on Skype or via FaceTime.

What is your style of photography?
I am a documentary style wedding photographer, my aim is to produce images that will trigger memories and increase in emotional value.
How many photographers will be at my wedding?
You are investing in me Wes Simpson and my vision to photograph your story. If needs be I can come with an assistant and can supply more photographers if needs be. * Please note, this will be another professional photographer, not my wife or girlfriend.

Do you do formal/traditional group shots?
Yes, with the right planning in place this would take no more than 20 minutes. These are usually taken straight after the ceremony.
How long before we see our pictures and get the album?
You will have a stunning online gallery showcasing all the proofs two weeks after the event or when you get back from your honeymoon. I aim to have your album designed and complete within 6/8 weeks after your wedding.

Can my friends and family see the pictures?
Yes I provide an online Print Lab Gallery for your event, you can then easily direct your friends and family to the site for viewing.
When do I need to book?
As soon as possible, I exclusively shoot 20 weddings a year on first-come, first-served basis.

How long are you at my wedding for?
Standard coverage is 10am – 19.00pm, this all depends on your requirements.
Do you have professional qualifications?
Yes, I studied photography both at A level and at University gaining a BA Hons degree. I am also BBC trained as a cameraman and I’ve been professionally photographing weddings for more than 10 years.
