Hi, I’m Wes Simpson, a UK and destination wedding photographer from Liverpool. I am delighted to be a Wedding Photographer Of The Year 2019 finalist at The English Wedding Awards… Especially as I’ve been nominated for the fourth year running!

Most couples worry about wedding photography, awkward poses and it eating into their day. I photograph you at your best focusing on the moments that matter so that you have meaningful pictures and a wedding you love.

ABOUT WES SIMPSON

A decade ago I left a professional media career working in Television to pursue wedding photography because I wanted to share my knowledge and insights so that couples got real, meaningful and powerful wedding images.

I’m proud to say that more than 400+ couples in over 10 countries have trusted me with their engagement and wedding photography.

Commercially, I’ve photographed celebrity weddings, music icons and Premiership footballers. My cinematic style of photography and ability to capture emotion has seen me become one of the most sought after photographers in the North West of England. Photographing weddings worldwide won multiple awards and seen my work featured in magazines such as Vogue, Hello! Choice and ProPhoto.

ABOUT THE AWARDS

The English Wedding Awards North aim to recognise and reward those within the wedding industry that work towards making a special day perfect. Awards are designed to recognise the efforts of the caterer that provides the delicious reception meal, the DJ or band that adds the extra thrill to the atmosphere, or maybe the hair & makeup artist that made a bride to look and feel on top of the world on this special day.

The English Wedding Awards have become a staple event in the wedding industry. This year, the ceremony is split into two chapters due to the high volume of guests attending the event. After the fantastic number of nominations received, the list with finalists and categories has been complied and many respected businesses of the wedding industry are shortlisted for an award.

AWARDS NIGHT IN MANCHESTER

The black-tie ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 19, at The Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.
Hundreds of top wedding specialists and establishments that are eligible to be recognised for their impeccable work are expected to attend the prestigious ceremony to celebrate their achievements.

These awards aim to reward those within the eclectic wedding industry that make one of the most special days of our lives one to remember; whether they are caterers that provide delicious reception meals, decorators that take care of the wedding venues and give them that fairy-tale sparkle or DJs and bands that add the extra thrill to the atmosphere.

Numerous prestigious accolades will be presented to the most deserving specialists, including Wedding Venue of the Year, Caterer of the Year, Wedding Coordinator, and Wedding Photographer of the Year 2019 among others.

A Spokesperson for The English Wedding Awards said:

“These awards are an exclusive celebration dedicated to those who work tirelessly to make our dream day as perfect as possible. They also seek to recognise everyone in this sector that has shown excellence, commitment and have customer satisfaction as a top priority in their business.”

“We would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck and we can’t wait to welcome all our guests at The English Wedding Awards 2019 and celebrate the winners with them.”

WHO RUNS THE AWARDS

The awards are run by Creative Oceanic and this is the fourth year of The English Wedding Awards – North; however, the organisation proudly operate other Wedding Awards in other cities and deliver over 120 campaigns annually and not just events to promote the industry.
