How It Works

Your Wedding | My Approach | The Plan

Stress-free Wedding Photography

Most couples want beautiful photos — without spending the day posing for pictures.

My approach is relaxed, documentary-focused, with no forced poses — you want to be fully present, and your wedding should feel like you.

With hundreds of weddings behind me, I know how to:

  • Keep the day flowing naturally
  • Help camera-shy feel comfortable
  • Capture moments without disruption

Your wedding isn’t a photoshoot

It’s a day with the people you love.

That’s why I stay unobtrusive. Guiding when needed. Stepping back when it matters. We still make time for beautiful portraits.

So you never forget how it felt.

Memories, Not Just Photos.

The Process

01.

Wedding day

Morning Preparations

Preparations matter — the shift from everyday life to your wedding day happens here.

I start a couple of hours before the ceremony, capturing details, and finishing touches as they happen.

We work with the day as it unfolds, creating images that reflect your story, not a formula.

If time allows, we do a few relaxed portraits before the ceremony, ending with a reveal (if you want one) — always a highlight.

02.

Ceremony

Say “i-do” to great photos

I capture arrivals and the ceremony naturally, unobtrusively, and as it unfolds.

No gimmicks or intrusive lighting — just real stories, emotions, and timeless moments.

03.

Formals

and group shots

If you want formal portraits or group shots, we schedule them during your planning meeting — usually 20 minutes max.

Too many posed photos can distract from real moments.

Keep it real. Keep it simple.

04.

Portraits

Portraits without the pressure

I recommend two short portrait sessions — one before the wedding breakfast and another, later, during the evening or early sunset.

Time together + great light = images you’ll treasure forever.

The aim here is to capture your personalities and the location — fun, romantic, creative, a sunset stroll, or a walk around town— the choice is yours.

Anyone can take nice portraits. I create a space where you can be yourselves and create meaningful images you’ll treasure forever.

05.

Speeches

The power of words

I capture speeches as they happen — real moments, the laughter and emotions.

You might forget the words, but with photos, you’ll never forget how you felt.

06.

Party

dance like nobody is watching

Depending on your timings, I can capture the first dance, cake cutting, and sunset portraits – depending on the time of year and the location.

All details are planned in advance, with flexibility for extra coverage.

Photography is always tailored to you and your wedding.

A Legacy to be Proud of

THE FUN ISN’T OVER YET!

Social media sneak previews come first, then your photos are ready via a personal online gallery — about four weeks later.

Finish the story with a wedding luxury album, designed in-house and printed in Italy. Order parent books and wall art for your home.

GOT QUESTIONS?

I’m in Liverpool and Lancashire. Not far from Manchester and close to the M6 motorway. Easy access to transport and airport links for weddings throughout the UK and destination weddings abroad.

Yes, I studied photography both at University gaining a BA Hons degree. I am also a BBC-trained cameraman and I’ve been professionally photographing weddings for almost two decades winning multiple awards along the way. But, that’s not why you should book me. It’s just added security.

Standard coverage is 10 hours, but it all depends on your requirements. But don’t worry, we will go over the timings during your planning meeting the week of the wedding and I send you a planning guide upon booking me to photograph your wedding.

I am a documentary-style wedding photographer, my aim is to produce images that will trigger memories, and emotions and increase emotional value. That means I don’t pose ANYTHING at weddings (other than the portraits.) Obviously, I will direct and encourage you when needed. But, it’s all very relaxed and natural.

It’s a good idea to book your wedding photographer 9 to 24 months in advance, especially if you’re planning a popular date or destination wedding. Many professional photographers like myself may book up even earlier. It’s advisable to book the best photographers 18 months in advance with a deposit to secure your date.

Availability is key! To check I’m available for your special day, please reach out to me with your wedding date, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. If I’m already booked for your date, we can recommend other talented photographers in our network who might be available to capture your wedding.
