Wedding Photography That Tells a Story…

Wes, you are an exceptional photographer, your punctuality and easygoing demeanour were a breath of fresh air. Despite our initial hesitations about being photographed, you made the experience effortless and fun, capturing candid moments that authentically reflect our love story.

Your thoughtful gesture of sending teasers and previews added an extra layer of excitement to our journey. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and we would 100% recommend Wes Simpson Weddings to modern couples looking for a wedding photographer they can trust.” – Kate.

A Beautiful Meols Hall Tithe Barn Spring Wedding In Southport

Hi, we are Kate and Adam, and this is our Meols Hall Tithe Barn spring wedding photography story from our special day in Southport.

I work as an Accounts Assistant, while Adam serves as Managing Director in haulage. Originally from Croxteth in Liverpool and Kirkby respectively, we eventually settled in our new home in Rainford, Lancashire.

Our paths intertwined through mutual friends and shared social outings. Adam’s proposal, simple and heartfelt on a scorching hot day at our home, perfectly aligned with my distaste for over-the-top gestures.

Opting for a spring wedding at Meols Hall Tithe Barn in Southport felt serendipitous, especially since it coincided with Adam’s birthday. With no other dates holding significance for us, it seemed destined to be an extra special day.

Bridal Preparations

Our Meols Hall Tithe Barn spring wedding began with bridal preparations at The Water Front Hotel in Southport. A luxury boutique hotel wedding venue in Merseyside, situated on Southport’s promenade. The hotel provided the ideal setting to begin our big day.

Myself and the girls all got ready in The Penthouse at The Water Front Hotel, which provided a fantastic laid-back experience with 180-degree views of the Southport promenade and the Irish Sea.

With a large freestanding bath taking centre stage within the Penthouse, my photographer Wes took some stunning photographs of my Isabella’s Closet dress hanging up above the bath, they look like they belong in an editorial fashion magazine.

One of my favourite pictures from our Meols Hall Tithe Barn wedding was taken in The Penthouse during the bridal preparations at The Waters Edge, it is a snapshot of my daughter helping me with my make-up, it’s a truly incredible storytelling moment with my Isabella’s Closet dress hanging behind us.

It’s a photograph that I will cherish forever!

Our Meols Hall Tithe Barn spring wedding saw 77-day guests, 4 ushers, and 2 bridesmaids, striking the perfect balance for us.

My stunning gown from Isabella’s Closet in Australia stole the show, embodying elegance and allure. Complemented by Adam and his ushers in classic black tuxedos and the bridesmaids in ivory dresses, our theme exuded simplicity, class, and timelessness.

Standout moments? Honestly, every moment was perfect, from start to finish. Our vision for a relaxed Meols Hall Tithe Barn spring wedding unfolded seamlessly.

Meols Hall Wedding Suppliers

I extend heartfelt thanks to our wedding suppliers – Isabella’s Closet, The Water Front Hotel, Meols Hall Tithe Barn, Carringtons, 600 Degrees Pizza, Acoustic Wedding, and Nathan the DJ – for their invaluable contributions to our Meols Hall Tithe Barn spring wedding.

Wedding Photographer Review

Honestly, Wes, I could not fault you! You were on time to both the venue and the hotel. I just love how casual and chilled you are, that’s exactly what I wanted my photos to be like.

We are 100% not photograph people but you made it so easy. I hate all the staged photos and yours are far from that! I love that you send teasers and previews over, I’ve never actually heard of any other photographers that do that! So glad we chose you!

Thank you for being our Meols Hall Tithe Barn spring wedding photographer.

With gratitude and warm regards,

Kate and Adam x
