We are unbelievably happy with our Liverpool wedding photos, every picture tells a story.

Love Lane Brewery Wedding in Liverpool

Hi, we are Isobelle and Mark, and this is our Love Lane Brewery wedding photography story from our special day in Liverpool.

We chose this venue as we wanted a more relaxed vibe and wanted to throw our guests a good knees-up in a brewery. Mark also loves beer. So this was the perfect wedding venue.

The day started with bridal preparations in Liverpool. We all got ready at The Shankly Hotel. I did a “bridal reveal” with my toddler son. It was very special to see him all dressed up in his little Tux.

Moving onto Love Lane, we had a celebrant-style wedding. We had already got married a few weeks prior with our immediate family so this was a way for our guests to see us get married and for our ceremony to be a lot more personal and fun.

We had about 120 day guests and 20 kids. I also had 4 bridesmaids. My bridesmaid dresses were from Grace and Lace Bridal in Chelmsford, Essex. And my dress was from Rebecca Ingram and it was called ‘Theodore’.

I chose this dress as it is timeless – I didn’t want to look back at my wedding photos and think “Why did I choose that dress?” I felt amazing in the dress and I know I will always love it.

The day ran so smoothly, I would love to thank Love Lane Brewery, especially Dave who helped to organise the whole day. He made us feel like VIPs the whole time. No ask was too much for him, he went over and above to ensure we had the most perfect day.

I would also like to thank Meg Gardner makeup, Hair by Lea, The Lash Edit, and all the ladies at Aspire Tan Beauty and Aspire Hair and Beauty Birmingham for helping me to look my best on the day.

Our Lave Lave wedding wouldn’t have been complete without entertainment. So I would also love the thank our band TMD Band who were exceptional and the Liverpool selfie mirror for providing our photobooth and guestbook.

Finally, I would love to thank our Liverpool wedding photographer Wes Simpson Weddings for capturing the true essence of the day in magical photos.

Wes was so lovely. We had a meeting with him the week of the wedding to go through the order of the day and organise some times for photos, which was great and helped us to finalise it all.

He turned up nice and early on the day of the wedding at The Shankly Hotel in Liverpool city centre where I was getting ready. He gave me a big hug and made us all feel comfortable.

Wes’s style is just incredible and is very unobtrusive. He captures moments you never knew happened and most of the photos of me on the day I didn’t even know were being taken of me.

So much happens on your wedding day and it takes a while for it all to sink in and process. The images Wes took tell the complete story. They are natural, emotional and capture the day perfectly.

KIND WORDS

“Wes was exactly what we were looking for in a Wedding Liverpool Photographer. Casual. Professional & Fun.”

Natural Wedding Photos in Liverpool

We are so unbelievably happy with our Love Lane Brewery wedding photos, even the picture of me where my veil swallows me like some spooky ghost I love. It just captures our fun and silliness.

After our informal buffet reception we nipped outside for some impromtu pictures. We simply had a stroll around Love Lane and the Baltic triangle area. The evening light was just right. Wes suggested some places to stop, and we used painted murals of Jurgen Klopp and The Beatles as backdrops to the photos.

It was all free-flowing and fun. It was nice to have some time together, and our guests didn’t even notice we had gone.

We also enjoyed all the wedding photography previews that Wes sent us following the wedding. They got us excited for the full online gallery. Which we could easily download, share with family and friends and order professional prints from.

The full gallery and slideshow video is incredible and Wes has been so kind as to draft up an album for us. I would absolutely recommend Wes to any future couple planning their wedding. You will not regret it.

Tip tips for couples planning a wedding

Work out your core ideals and principles – things you definitely want and then everything else is optional. For us, we wanted everyone to be fed, watered/bevvied and have a good party.

We weren’t fussed about a sit-down meal or a flashy wedding – we just wanted to get married. Our first wedding at the registry office was beyond perfect – our immediate family, in the pub straight after the ceremony, then back to my mum’s for a kebab and family time.

Our Love Lane Brewery wedding was perfect! We got to share our love with our friends and family. The best wedding planning tip would be to try and not hung-up on the minute details.

Planning a wedding is such an exciting and beautiful thing – the last thing you need is to be stressed and get upset. So enjoy every second of the planning and organising and have an amazing wedding that represents you both.

And of course, you want the day captured stress-free, so choose the best wedding photographer that you can find. After all, the pictures are all you have left.
