As a documentary wedding photographer, I have the incredible privilege of capturing love stories in unique and meaningful locations. When Bermuda couple Kalyn and Leon reached out to me to photograph their engagement at Anfield, I was beyond excited! Liverpool Football Club holds a special place in their hearts, and being there to document such a personal and emotional moment was truly unforgettable.

A Magical Engagement at Anfield – Capturing Love at Liverpool Football Club
Hi, we are Kalyn and Leon from the island of Bermuda, and this is our Liverpool Football Club engagement photos story…
We’ve been together for 3 1/2 years. We met in April 2021 in our office building. One day, I was locked out and knocked on the window of his office, asking if he could let me in. He opened the door and asked my name, and when I introduced myself as Kalyn, he responded with his last name, Bascome.
Jokingly, I said we might be related, to which he replied, ‘I hope not.’ I was so shocked I had no response, but his flirtation instantly intrigued me. We started chatting whenever we saw each other in the lobby until months later when he finally worked up the nerve to ask me out. We’ve been inseparable ever since!
Why Liverpool Football Club? A Dream Come True
Leon is a huge Liverpool fan, so for his birthday in November 2024, I surprised him with tickets to see Liverpool play against Southampton at Anfield. It was a lifelong dream of his, and I was beyond happy to make it happen.
Our trip was nothing short of amazing. We visited friends and family in Manchester and Nottingham, and we had an incredible dining experience at Gaucho in Liverpool—the food was delicious! But the highlight of the trip was, of course, our visit to Anfield Stadium and our Liverpool Football Club engagement photos.
The Best Moment – Anfield’s Magic
The highlight for me was sharing the moment with Leon at Anfield. As a super fan, he lit up when he saw the trophies, and statues, and soaked in the overall atmosphere. Seeing his excitement and love for the club made the experience even more special.
Having our Liverpool Football Club engagement photos capture all the behind-the-scenes action and a tour of Anfield was a great idea. It meant we could enjoy the moment without having to look at our phones.
Liverpool Football Club Engagement Photos – A Proposal to Remember
The engagement was a total shock! I had no idea he was going to propose, especially during such an important trip for him. Knowing how much visiting Anfield meant to him, made the proposal even more meaningful.
Wes was so relaxed I thought he was part of the stadium tour! He definitely played his role well. The photos look amazing—he did a wonderful job capturing this beautiful surprise that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
