After seven years together, Joe proposed at Blenheim Palace with a four-carat diamond ring he had designed himself.

“I never thought it would happen,” Melissa joked.

The wedding morning began across the resort.

Joe enjoyed a traditional Turkish shave while Melissa and the bridal party prepared in the bridal suite with hair and makeup artists who had travelled from the UK.

Guests made their way to the ceremony in golf carts, taking in the sea views and mountain backdrop along the way.

The ceremony took place on Liberty Hotels Lykia’s beachfront platform, styled with white draping and soft floral arrangements, positioned directly above the Mediterranean Sea.

Melissa walked down the aisle with her father to Elvis Presley’s Love Me Tender, a subtle tribute to Joe’s favourite artist. After exchanging vows, the couple walked back up the aisle to Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours) as guests celebrated around them.

What to Wear for a Destination Wedding in Turkey

Melissa looked stunning in a Sophia Tolli gown that she instantly fell in love with after trying on around 80 dresses in numerous bridal boutiques. Remarkably, after searching far and wide, she found her dream dress just 15 miles from home.

“I had a real ‘this is the one’ moment,” she said.

The Sophia Tolli design featured a fit-and-flare silhouette with elements of a fishtail and mermaid style, beautifully embellished with crystals and pearls. The champagne-coloured gown flowed into a long train that added elegance and drama, perfectly suited to the Mediterranean setting.

To complete her bridal look, Melissa chose a gorgeous pair of Badgley Mischka shoes that complemented the dress beautifully and added a touch of luxury to her destination wedding style.

Joe wore his favourite colour, choosing a royal blue three-piece suit paired with a crisp white shirt and tan leather shoes. With nine groomsmen standing alongside him, the wedding party created a striking and coordinated look. While the suits remained consistent throughout the group, the groom, best man and father of the bride each wore different coloured ties to subtly distinguish their roles.

Together, their styling struck the perfect balance between elegance and relaxed destination wedding sophistication.

The Liberty Hotels Lykia wedding reception flowed seamlessly from the beachfront ceremony into an evening overlooking the Mediterranean.

A relaxed buffet was served as guests watched the sunset before moving into the evening celebrations.

Music from a curated playlist filled the night, followed by a packed dancefloor in the resort nightclub that continued into the early hours.

When asked to sum up their wedding, Mellissa and Joe said: “Our wedding was sensationally breathtaking.”
