Hilton Liverpool - City Wedding
IF YOU LOVE CITY WEDDINGS THEN YOU’LL ENJOY THIS HILTON LIVERPOOL WEDDING!
Jenna and Steven met on line and have been together for 9 years. They got married in the city and had their reception at the modern Hilton Liverpool.
Here is there story…
Wedding preparations – Hilton Liverpool.
Jenna got ready at the Hilton with all the girls and her sister who gave her away; there was such a relaxed vibe even though she ran unusually late. Jenna wore a Mori Lee princess dress with a cathedral length veil and scattered diamantes’. The dress was from Natalie Ann Brides of Liverpool, actually everyone in the whole wedding party was dressed by Natalie Ann Brides (all 19 of go them!) Jenna’s perfect wedding gown was completed with Jimmy Choo shoes which added some sparkle to an elegantly simple dress, it looked perfect. The girls took a Rolls Royce to get to the ceremony.

The ceremony took place at their local church -St. Margaret Mary’s in Liverpool. The ceremony began with a beautiful reading and finished with them walking down the aisle and being showered with colourful confetti. It was a wonderful ceremony, full of smiles and lots of cheer. The priest who christened their children and conducted the funeral of Jenna’s grandfather conducted the ceremony. It was really important to the couple that this priest conducted the ceremony and it was made even more special by the fact that it was the last wedding he did at the church as he left two days later. I love the fact the couple didn’t have any decoration in the church as Jenna wanted it to be just as she remembered as a child; A beautiful traditional church with no needed additions.
After the ceremony, the newly married couple and myself went to the pier head on the Liverpool waterfront and we got some beautiful pictures with some great Liverpool landmarks including; The Liver Buildings and The Beatles statues (this is a must if you’re from Liverpool). The couple then mingled with their guests, which was the perfect time for me to get some natural photos.
Wedding reception – Hilton Liverpool
Jenna and Steven chose to have their wedding reception at The Hilton Liverpool because it’s the first place they ever stayed together and it’s where they always go on special date nights. The Hilton is a modern hotel just off the Liverpool One shopping complex. The hotel itself has a real party atmosphere (and is a good place for celebrity spotting), especially in the main room when the lights go down.
For the reception, the couple had planned a drinks reception with canapés on arrival and live music for their guests, and everyone really enjoyed it – it also allowed Jenna and Steven the time to speak to their guests and have some extra pictures taken. Everyone was then called in for the wedding breakfast, which was a 3-course meal. They had speeches before the starter and main courses, which were really touching. Steven – The groom had dreaded his speech since the day he proposed. The father of the groom heckled the best man when he lost his way half way through and the sister of the bride had everyone both laughing and crying. After the speeches, the guests where treated to the shock and surprise of ‘singing waiters.’ This gave all the guests something to talk about!
The couple say if your planning a wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is don’t listen to what other people say, have what you want and spend what you want. As long as you have the day you want it will always be worth it. The only thing you are left with after the day is the pictures so choose the right photographer.
The Brides Words.
“We would 100% recommended Wes. I love that the photographs reflect the day we had, they are not staged or with fake smiles. You can see the happiness in all our faces. We wanted a relaxed day that was documented in photographs so Wes was the perfect photographer as this is his style. I definitely would and do recommend Wes to everyone and I can’t wait for him to photograph our vow renewal.” – Jenna
