Lauren & Michael's Vintage Wedding Photography, Ashfield House

Lauren and Micheal, a cool, trendy, ‘alternative’ couple planned a 1930’s inspired vintage wedding to remember at Ashfield House, Standish near Wigan in Lancashire.

Unique table decorations, vintage Viviane Westwood shoes, burger and chips wedding breakfast and choosing to have the day documented by a photographer known for capturing the emotion and not just following latest hipster trends are just some of the details that make this wedding unique.

Ashfield House is a warm and welcoming, privately owned, exclusive wedding venue in Standish; bordering Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. In recent years, this wedding venue has enjoyed a magnificent renovation to create a beautiful blank canvas for weddings.

Lauren and Michael were attracted to Ashfield House because it’s a wedding venue that feels grand yet retains a homely family atmosphere, full of period personality yet thoroughly modern at the same time.

The venue offers plenty of rooms for getting ready on the morning of the wedding, each with lots of natural light that is perfect for wedding photography. The ceremony room at Ashfield House has been designed to be a beautiful blank canvas; bright, elegant and neutral yet eclectic and quirky at the same time.

Lauren and Michael’s friends and family were treated to a variety of fast-food favourites including ribs, burger and chips which was served to guest in the reception room overlooking the gardens and terrace. The room is light and airy with lots of character and has beautiful big bay windows which offer lots of natural light which is perfect for pictures during the wedding speeches. The room is then transformed for the night time party.

Lauren and Micheal proved that if you are planning an alternative wedding you don’t need an alternative style wedding photographer.
