1930's Alternative vintage wedding at Ashfield House.

Lauren and Micheal, a cool and trendy ‘alternative’ couple had an absolute blast with their 1930’s inspired vintage wedding at Ashfield House in Standish near Wigan in Lancashire.

Unique table decorations, vintage Viviane Westwood shoes, fast food wedding breakfast and choosing to have the day documented by a photographer known for capturing the emotion and not following latest hipster trends are just some of the details that make this a wedding day to remember…

Vintage wedding at Ashfield House

Lauren and Micheal’s Autumn Vintage Wedding took place at Ashfield House which is a warm and welcoming, privately owned, exclusive wedding venue in Standish, Wigan Lancashire.

The couple chose Ashfield House for their vintage wedding because the venue feels grand yet retains a homely family atmosphere. The house itself is full of period personality yet thoroughly modern at the same time.

The couples alternative laid-back attitude was complemented with a selection of fast-food favourites during the wedding breakfast, this including ribs, burger and chips which was served to guests in the reception room overlooking Ashfield House gardens and terrace. The room was later transformed for the night time party.

Michael’s suit was 1930s Cuban style from Thomas Farthing. Lauren wore a 1930s/40s style vintage wedding dress which was complimented with an epic pair of vintage Vivienne Westwood shoes.
