Fattoria la Loggia | Wedding in Tuscany, Italy

Enchanting Tuscany wedding photography from Francesca and Alberto’s beautiful destination wedding at Fattoria La Loggia, in the Chianti region of Tuscany, Italy. A late summer rustic themed wedding full of love, charm and incredible views...

Being a Destination Wedding Photographer from England and providing Wedding Photography in Tuscany is an amazing adventure! The visual contrast of the rolling hills and vineyards together with the hustle and bustle of iconic cities and the pastel coloured towns make it such a beautiful and exciting place to visit and photograph. The incredible food, architecture, breathtaking scenery and the buzzing piazzas of nearby Florence, Pisa and Siena attract many couples from the UK to this unique part of the world who wish to marry and have a destination wedding in Italy and I can easily see why.

Francesca and Alberto’s Tuscan destination wedding adventure took place at Fattoria La Loggia, in the Chianti region of Tuscany in early September. A late afternoon ceremony complimented the couple’s dream of an outdoor summer wedding at a venue full of rustic charm and incredible open views.

Surrounded by olive groves, farmland and vineyards, this casual farmstead was the perfect backdrop for travelling family and friends watching on and showcased my Tuscany wedding photography perfectly. The wedding venue itself is nestled on the top of the hillside and it features exposed-stone walls, timber beams, fireplaces and antique furnishings that add character, charm and an authentic look to the wedding pictures.

Lancashire photographer Francesca and Italian Chief Alberto knew exactly what they wanted from their wedding photography and choose Wes Simpson Weddings to photograph their day because they wanted the security of a photographer who was based in England that would travel out with them to Italy. They also wanted a photographer who specialises in documentary style wedding photography and would be inspired to capture the light, architecture, countryside, and landscapes of Tuscany.

“For me, one of the most important wedding ‘must have’s’ had to be booking a fantastic wedding photographer! Especially as I’m a photographer by trade myself. When all is said and done, the photos last forever!”Francesca

As a UK based destination wedding photographer shooting weddings in Tuscany, I find it an absolute joy to use the olive gardens, vineyards, white roads, rolling hills, and gorgeous sunsets to create works of art that will complement the memory of the wedding for years to come…
