LIVERPOOL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – 30 JAMES STREET
Trendy Childwall couple Jenna and Michael celebrated their Liverpool wedding at 30 James Street and chose Wes Simpson Weddings to capture their day because they wanted a unique documentary approach to their wedding photography and to take advantage of nearby landmarks with a mini photo-shoot.
As a leading Liverpool wedding photographer I have vast experience of photographing at all the best wedding venues in Liverpool and when possible, I love to incorporate elements of Liverpool architecture – mixing street style photography with wedding photography provides a truly unique backdrop to any Liverpool wedding.
30 JAMES STREET | LIVERPOOL WEDDING VENUE
Jenna and Michael’s dream wedding day began at the family home with a beautiful ceremony at the local All Saints Church in Childwall, before moving on to their wedding reception at 30 James Street – Home of the Titanic – a wedding venue that stole their hearts.
Jenna recalls “30 James Street is such a unique hotel and truly beautiful. It simply felt like the perfect compliment to our dream of a wedding reception in the heart of the city of Liverpool.”
30 James Street – may be one of the newest Wedding Venue’s in Liverpool but it’s steeped in history with a heritage as the former home of the White Star Line’s headquarters. The Titanic-themed hotel is in walking distance of Liverpool Pier Head and the Albert Dock. The iconic looking venue known locally as the streaky bacon building sits opposite the famous 3 graces which include the iconic Royal Liver Building and it’s just a stone’s throw away from Liverpool One shopping district.
“Walking into the Grand Hall at 30 James St for our Wedding Breakfast and all our family and friends cheering and clapping just for us was a massive highlight of our wedding day. We felt unbelievably lucky to have all of the closest people in our lives in one room together. A unique moment that we will never forget.” – Jenna Wrigglesworth
During Jenna and Michael’s wedding reception at 30 James Street, I took advantage of photo opportunities in the Grand Hall and on the rooftop terrace. Sky-high ceilings, large windows and original features throughout the building provided a visually pleasing backdrop for all the natural, relaxed and storytelling moments that I was able to capture. After the wedding breakfast, we headed out on to the vibrant bustling streets of Liverpool and created a collection of stylish images that Jenna and Michael will treasure forever…
