Your UK-based Cyprus wedding photographer
Hi! I’m Wes, a Cyprus wedding photographer based in the UK. I travel to Cyprus to photograph your wedding. This means that you exclusively deal with me, before, during and after the wedding.
I believe wedding photography is exciting and one of the most important investments you will make for your wedding, after all, the photos are all you have left once the celebrations are over.
Hiring a photographer you trust and whose style of photography you love is even more important when planning a destination wedding than getting married at home.
When you have a destination wedding in Cyprus, family and friends invest in a holiday to see you tie the knot and everyone back home will want to share in the excitement of your wedding through your pictures.

The best choice for a Destination Wedding Photographer In Cyprus
As a leading Cyprus wedding photographer based in the UK, you can trust that your wedding memories are in safe hands.
I have photographed many weddings in Cyprus since my first wedding back in 2007 at The Grecian Park Hotel in Protaras.
Since then I have worked with many couples travelling from the UK to get married in Cyprus, as well as couples based in Cyprus and the rest of the world.
Cyprus is known as the “Island of love” and it’s easy to see why. From the sandy beaches of Protaras, Aya Nappa and Nissi Beach to the romantic harbour of Paphos and the attractions of Aphrodite.
Wherever you choose to get married in Cyprus there are plenty of photo opportunities and memories to be made. And I would love to be your Cyprus wedding photographer.
Wedding ceremonies in Cyprus tend to be before mid-day, or later in the afternoon due to the heat. If you choose me to be your Cyprus wedding photographer, I can advise on the best time for photo opportunities and group shots.
The evening light is fantastic in Cyprus, so I defiantly recommend incorporating sunset portraits into your photography schedule. Something as simple as a walk on the beach will give beautiful pictures and memories to treasure.

It’s Important To Be Able To Meet With Your Wedding Photographer
Your wedding is one of the most significant events in your life. It’s crucial that you choose a Cyprus wedding photographer that you can trust.
I am based in the North West of England. And by choosing to work with Wes Simpson Weddings, we will have the option to meet in person before your wedding. You can get to know me better and ask questions as needed.
If you don’t get to talk to your Cyprus wedding photographer beforehand, you won’t be able to speak with them and make your needs known.
You won’t be able to see if you’re comfortable with your chosen photographer, and you won’t know if you can depend on them.
Photo-shoot in Cyprus
Working with a UK-based photographer allows you to experience the best of all worlds. You can travel to Cyprus for your wedding and still work with a photographer at home after the wedding.
I’d be happy to schedule a meeting with you so that we can talk about your vision for your wedding day.
I am based in the North West of England, so I can easily travel out to Cyprus from Manchester or Liverpool airport. I can be there for 4 to 7 days depending on your celebrations.
If you book me as your Cyprus wedding photographer, we can include pre and post-wedding photography. This is perfect for pictures of Cyprus, including the towns and beaches.
Once home from Cyprus, you will receive your online gallery. From there, we can design your perfect wedding album.
I don’t just turn up on the last day of your holiday with a pr-designed album. You are involved in the design process. So your album will be perfect.
Cyprus wedding photographer prices
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and wedding photography is no different.
When researching Cyprus wedding photographers, it’s easy to get overwhelmed as there are many styles and packages to choose from.
One Cyprus wedding photographer might charge per hour and another will offer wedding photography package deals that will be half or full-day coverage.
You can expect to see lower-end photography prices from just 300 euros. This often only covers the ceremony.
Mid-range photography in Cyprus is around 2000 euros. High-end photography that includes a wedding album is around 3,500 euros.
UK-based Cyprus wedding photographer cost
The good news! My Cyprus wedding photography cost is the same as my UK prices, the only additional cost would be flight and accommodation. I don’t charge for travel days.
Visit the albums and price page for a pricing guide. Contact me to schedule a call to discuss your photography requirements or request a free brochure.

Why not just hire a photographer in Cyprus?
There are some fantastic Cyprus wedding photographers, but like with anything else, you should do research.
There are many pitfalls in hiring a Cyprus wedding photographer based in the resort. These include –
Time allowance. Your package may seem like a cost-effective idea but it may not include things like ‘sunset portraits” which can be chargeable add-ons.
Style: Destination wedding packages are fine for things like cakes and chair covers, but the relationship you have with your Cyprus wedding photographer is the most important of all your vendors, the pictures are what you have left.
Coverage: If your wedding package includes a photographer, this is often a standard package based on the number of hours or the number of pictures taken. This can fall short of what you require.
Upsell: Towards the end of your holiday, the photographer will often arrange a meeting and show you more pictures and products than you agreed, with an incentive to “Buy More” before you leave.
The problem with this, the photographer may not have been to your style or liking and the pictures may not be the best, but they are the only pictures you have.
The benefits of hindsight, the amount you end up spending, you could have hired the photographer of your choosing.
Please see my Destination Wedding Photographer page for more information on the pros and cons of hiring a Cyprus resort photographer.

A lot of Cyprus wedding photographer package deals provided via wedding planners or travel agents will offer four hours of wedding photography. Is 4 hours enough time for wedding photography?
A lot of Budget wedding photographers offer 4-hour coverage and photograph two or three weddings in a day.
Generally speaking, high-end wedding photographers offer this in their starter packages. They know that images are what’s most important for some couples and four hours is just enough time to photograph the ceremony and formals.
With four-hour wedding photography coverage packages, you can expect to pay for ‘add-ons’ such as getting ready shots, speeches and sunset portraits as extra.

The wedding photographer that you work with doesn’t have to be dictated by the location. Choose to work with me, you get all of the benefits of a photographer that’s based in the UK while still having your wedding in the location of your dreams.
While there are local photographers you can work with while you’re in Cyprus, you’ll be better served if you work with someone that is local to you and has a style of photography you love and trust.
I’m a UK-based Cyprus wedding photographer that has travelled to Cyprus to capture many weddings in the past, and I’d be thrilled to do the same for your special day.
