Wes Simpson Weddings was commissioned to photograph the celebrity wedding of the UK’s biggest-selling classical artist, opera singer Russell Watson.
The English tenor married his partner Louise Harris in a fairytale ceremony in Spain. And the destination wedding was exclusively photographed by Wes Simpson for Hello Magazine.
The operatic-style singer and his new wife said ‘I do’ during intimate nuptials held in the mountain village Benahavis in southern Spain.
The glamorous couple chose Wes Simpson Weddings to photograph the big day after falling in love with his unique, creative documentary-style wedding photography.

Russell Watson Wedding
World-famous tenor Russell Watson has married his wife Louise Harris, the woman he credits with transforming his life, in a fairytale Spanish wedding ceremony.
In a world exclusive, HELLO! magazine reveals how the acclaimed singer and his bride held their wedding in the enchanting mountain village of Benahavís, Spain on 19th August.
Hello, Magazine describes the Russell Watson celebrity wedding as “A fairytale wedding album.”
In the exclusive interview, Russell states “Louise has taught me many things but most of all how to love. I have never been more content. It really is a fairytale ending,” says the 48-year-old.
Russell was living alone following years of health problems during which he battled two brain tumours, the second of which almost killed him.
It was a chance meeting with Louise in a restaurant in Alderley Edge near their home in Manchester that changed his life and leads to their celebrity destination wedding.

Louise chose a stunning ivory Ronald Joyce wedding gown with a crystal tiara and Swarovski crystal shoes.
The one-off designer shoes were made exclusively for her by world-famous celebrity shoe designer Jimmy Choo at the request of Russell.
“They make my heart skip a beat every time I look at them,” says 27-year-old Louise.
“Jimmy Choo said to me, ‘Louise I want to design you a shoe that no one else in the world has.’ I could never have imagined something so special. I’ve called them the Mrs Watson.”
Russell says of the moment he first saw Louise in her wedding gown, “It was a combination of love, happiness and pride when I saw her looking so beautiful.”
Celebrity destination wedding
During the wedding, unable to resist, Russell led the singing of the hymn All Things Bright and Beautiful, chosen for the ceremony because of the couple’s love of animals.
“Everyone was mumbling, so I raised my arms and went, ‘Come on!’ The next thing, we were singing the roof off. It felt fantastic. Like a real celebration,” says Russell.
Later in the evening, the acclaimed singer serenaded his new wife with the Spanish song Grenada.
Russell Watson’s two daughters were bridesmaids and the day was attended by close family and friends.
Reflecting on their special day, Louise told HELLO!: “The wedding makes everything complete. I married the man of my dreams.”

Meanwhile, it’s straight back to work for Russell, who will be performing at Proms in the Park in London’s Hyde Park in September. He also has 30 more concerts to complete on his UK and Ireland tour.
