Clare & Steve’s Wedding at Capesthorne Hall, Macclesfield
Hi, we are Clare and Steve from Manchester. I’m an Airline Cabin Manager and Steve is an Airline Pilot. We tied the knot in September at Capesthorne Hall, a gorgeous, historic estate nestled in the Cheshire countryside.
The moment we saw the venue, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our love. It’s local to us and offers stunning views, beautiful gardens, and a timeless atmosphere—perfect for any season or weather.
Our wedding was an intimate gathering of 65 of our closest family and friends, with a vibrant pink theme that tied everything together. From the flowers to the décor, pink was everywhere, symbolizing the joy and love we felt that day. One word to describe the entire day? “Magical.”
I wore a beautiful Lillian West dress from Dream Dress Bridal in Stockport, which made me feel like a princess. Steve looked dashing in a bespoke navy tail suit from Whitfield and Ward in Wilmslow. We wanted our outfits to be timeless, and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out.

The whole day passed by in a surreal, emotional blur. From the moment we arrived at Capesthorne Hall, we were surrounded by love. There were so many special moments—our vows, the laughter, the tears—but what stood out most was how perfect everything felt. It truly was the best day of our lives.
We were lucky to work with some incredible vendors who made sure our day was everything we imagined. Catherine Myatt crafted our delicious cake, Zelda from Dreams Venue Dressing created stunning décor, Ryan Roworth amazed guests with his magic, and The Mod Cons had everyone dancing all night long.
It’s hard to choose a favourite moment because every part of the day was spectacular. Each moment felt more special than the last, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
My advice to other couples planning their wedding? Don’t get caught up in the little details. You won’t even notice them on the day. Instead, focus on enjoying each second because it goes by so fast!
