When I asked Jess and David’s what was their favourite part of their wedding day they told me “it has to be the minute we locked eyes when Jess first walked into the church – and David’s face and reaction was priceless – such a perfect moment. The second best was probably in the field after we’d just got married – it was so special and also very surreal that after months of planning we were officially husband and wife”.
Jess and David chose a Lake District Wedding as it was the destination of their first ever trip away as a young couple – upon returning to the lakes to scout for the perfect wedding venue they stumbled across Broadoaks Country House and completely fell in love with venue from the moment they saw it – a beautiful quaint country house with stunning views of the lakes was exactly what they wanted.
It was a small and intimate wedding allowing the couple to spend quality time with their guests. Over all they celebrated with a two day extravaganza which focused on fun and relaxation with 40 family members and close friends.
Jess wore a gorgeous Ronald Joyce gown with lots of lace and pearl details and an a-line skirt which she bought from a in Liverpool, travelling up from London (keeping virgin trains in service!) she had the gown altered to make it a semi-sweetheart neck – so it’s officially one of a kind! Topped off with pearls to match, and a pair of bright blue shoes with bows on the back – to help her feel like a true princess.
If Jess and David had to choose just one picture from their wedding, it would probably be the jetty picture – Jess remarked – “it is truly spectacular, plus the memories we have of taking it were brilliant – I just remember being in awe of the scenery, plus we were just so happy and laughing the whole time – it was so special and a fantastic suggestion by Wes to nip off and have some alone time together as the day goes so fast”.
Jess and David’s wedding pictures are proudly displayed in a beautiful storybook wedding album that I know they will cherish forever. When they came to collect the album I asked Jess if she had any advice for future Brides and Groom’s reading this, here reply was – “Try not to sweat the small stuff – it all works out on the day so just make sure you enjoy it -and remember to take a minute during the day as a special memory – we both vividly remember sitting in the car and saying “oh my gosh – WE’RE MARRIED!!!”
